Now, as an Orlando Maternity photographer, I adore a good outdoor maternity session. But there is just something so timeless about an in-studio maternity session that I absolutely love. The soft lighting, minimal distractions, and air condition (because it's Central Florida, let's be real), all come together to highlight the beauty of this season in your life. Here are five of my favorite maternity poses that are sure to be so glamourous.
It's a classic for a reason. Resting your hands on your bump naturally draws attention to the heart of your photo session. The intimate connection between you and your sweet growing baby. You can close your eyes, look down at your bump, or smile from ear to ear. The simplicity of this pose allows for you to just feel, take a deep breath, and and relish in the moment.
Whether sitting on a stool, a draped chair, or on the studio floor, this pose brings out calm and intimacy. It's a great way to give mom a break from standing and allow for a different vantage point. This pose always feels effortlessly elegant and is such a showstopper.
In-studio lighting makes soft fabric come alive. A good piece of fabric or robe can add movement and texture while keeping the focus on your lovely face and beautiful form. Think of how a gentle breeze flows through a field of lavender, making then bend ever so delicately. That's what a fabric toss experience feels like. I'm definitely a sucker for tossing fabric and those images are ones that are so stunning to photograph.
Ok, this pose is, THE pose! It literally showcases the beautiful curves of your baby bump. The lighting is perfect for highlighting your glowing profile. It's very powerful and bold and peaceful. It's the ultimate pose to showcase your strength and femininity of growing a whole human, all in one.
Ahhh, the laying down pose is the ultimate glam pose. A tulle ruffle robe sets the scene. Laying on your back, slightly tilted to the side, one hand on your belly and the other hand gently caressing your head, creates the most dreamy portrait. If poses could talk this pose would scream "Romance me please!"
