Every Mom Is Talking About
If you are anything like me, baby names are one of the first things you attar dreaming about the moment you find out you are pregnant. As an Orlando newborn photographer, I get to go inside the minds of my clients asking about their baby's name and how they picked it. It's always so interesting. And in 2025, the trends are full of fun and meaning. So let's talk about them.
First up, nature-inspired names are making a statement. Think River, Willow, or Cove. It's giving very peaceful, very grounding, very ethereal, right. Ok, so those are definitely super cute options. Then we swing it over to the vintage side and bring back old names like Eloise, Margot, Theodore, and Arthur. I mean, I don't hate it. They are classic names but not too old sounding, so I guess you could make it fresh in 2025.
Another big trend is multicultural names. Parents are pulling from rich heritage and going with special options like Ayana, Zara, Haruki, and Elio. Name choices full of meaning are always a winner. The next trend is names with premade nicknames. Let me explain: Long names that can grow with your baby but also can be shortened while they are little. Think Charlie or Lottie short for Charlotte, or Theo, Teddy short for Theodore. I'm almost certain every kid has a nickname at some point in their life and this is a unique way to embrace that.
And finally, we round things out with concept names, which have arrived to make their claim to fame. We have Sage, Valor, Amara, or Miracle having a big moment. They feel powerful and full of intention. I can get excited over those names. So, where do you land? Are we loving these options or are we sticking with family names?
Whatever name you choose, it's a huge part of your baby's story. And it is 100% up to you. There is no right tor wrong name to name a baby so take your time and choose what you love. Your sweet baby along with their awesome name are worth remembering from the very beginning. If you want to capture those first precious days with photos that feel just as timeless and unique as their name, I'd be honored to capture your baby's newborn session. The early chapters are worthy to be beautifully preserved.
